Provincial delegation exchange cooperation and investment promotion in number of European countries

From July 3 to 13, the Provincial Delegation led by Mr. Dao Quang Khai, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited and worked in a number of European countries including: Federal Republic of Germany, Czech Republic and Hungarian Republic to exchange, cooperate and promote investment in Bac Ninh province. Also participating in the working group were Mr. Ta Dang Doan, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Secretary of the Bac Ninh City Party Committee; representatives from leaders of a number of functional sectors of the province.

* Visiting and working with the Marzahn-Hellersdorf Borough government, Berlin (Germany), the delegation discussed with Ms. Nadja Zivkovic, Mayor of Marzahn-Hellersdorf Borough and representatives of the Marzahn-Hellersdorf Borough government about the potential strengths of the two sides to cooperate in the fields of urban planning, electronics, healthcare, pharmaceuticals... Since then, it was agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding between the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province and the Marzahn-Hellersdorf Borough government on establishing friendly cooperative relations.

Marzahn-Hellersdorf Borough is a locality with advantages in developing healthcare, vocational education and training, high-tech industry, tourism and trade. These are also industries and fields that Bac Ninh province is interested in attracting investment. Vice Chairman Dao Quang Khai emphasized that Bac Ninh and Marzahn-Hellersdorf Borough have many similar development points, potential for cooperation, complementarity and support for each other in socio-economic development. At the same time, he asked the Mayor Nadja Zivkovic to support connecting and promoting the attractive investment environment of Bac Ninh province to German investors; encourage German businesses to invest in strong fields such as electronics, automobile manufacturing and assembly, mechanical engineering, supporting industrial products... in Bac Ninh province.  

The Vice Chairman also hoped that the German side would send experts to support the Bac Ninh health sector and receive officials and workers from the Bac Ninh health sector for training; support community health care projects in the province; Implement cooperative activities, support the province in equipment, technological processes, teacher training, and transfer of training programs. At the same time, they accept students from medical human resources training establishments in Bac Ninh province to work long-term in Germany; strengthen the implementation of cultural and artistic exchange activities, people-to-people exchanges, and enhance mutual understanding; care, support, and create favorable conditions for the Bac Ninh community in Germany to live, study, work, and contribute to socio-economic development.

The Vice Chairman believed that with the signed MoU, Bac Ninh province and Marzahn-Hellersdorf Borough would implement many activities, first of all promoting economic cooperation in areas such as health, education, youth, economics, trade, culture and other fields that both sides are interested in developing together. At the same time, the two sides increase the exchange of delegations to enhance mutual understanding, thereby promoting the socio-economic development of the two localities, contributing to deepening the strategic partnership between the two countries Vietnam - Germany.

On this occasion, the delegation visited the Smart Living & Health Center and worked with Mr. Christian Graff, Member of the Berlin House of Representatives, CEO of the Center. The Center was established in 2018 and is a place to consult and provide the most modern information and equipment to serve the elderly and the disabled to ensure their health and living needs. In addition, the Center also ensures the promotion of elderly care, especially through free information events, seminars and public relations work, to ensure a smooth transition and access for the elderly with smart living technology. At the same time, it strives to promote vocational training by providing training events and providing free information on smart living technology to healthcare professionals. The Vice Chairman hoped that, through the working session and survey at the Center, Bac Ninh would be able to apply it to the province's medical facility system in the near future.

* In the Czech Republic, the delegation visited and worked with the Ministry of Environment to discuss environmental cooperation between Bac Ninh province and the Czech Republic. Welcoming and working with the delegation was Mr. Michal Pastvinský, Director of the International Relations Department and Deputy Director General of the International Relations and Environmental Policy Section.

Khai hoped that the Ministry of Environment would act as a bridge to introduce Bac Ninh province to Czech Republic investors to learn about opportunities and participate in investing in environmental projects as well as areas that attract investment in the province; strengthen cooperation and support for the province in the fields of wastewater treatment technology and solid waste from craft villages, promote circular economic development and adapt to climate change, and improve management capacity in environmental protection to help Bac Ninh province develop towards a smart, civilized, modern and environmentally friendly urban area...

Previously, the delegation visited and met with the Bac Ninh Compatriots Association in the Czech Republic to visit and encourage the Bac Ninh community in the Czech Republic, calling on the Association to return to their homeland to join hands in promoting culture, ccompanying and supporting the province's programs in the Czech Republic, connecting cooperation between Bac Ninh and Czech partners... thereby, contributing to further deepening the bilateral relationship between Bac Ninh and the Republic of Czech Republic.

 

* In Hungary, the delegation worked with the Chief architect of Budapest city and Representative from the Budapest City Government to learn experience in urban management and planning.

At the meeting, Khai said that in 2023, Bac Ninh province has been approved by the Prime Minister for 02 extremely important plans including: Bac Ninh province plan for the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; Bac Ninh urban master plan until 2045. Currently, Bac Ninh is focusing on implementing overall solutions with the goal of meeting the criteria for class I urban areas, as a premise to build Bac Ninh province to become a centrally run city by 2030, become a cultural and ecological city, moving towards a knowledge economy, a smart city, a regional city, and an important driving force and growth pole in the Red River Delta, he added.

Impressed with the typical ancient architecture and famous architectural works in Budapest city, the Vice Chairman hoped that the Chief Architect would share his experience in Hungarian architectural planning, especially the conservation of ancient architectural works with long-standing cultural value, parallel to modern urban development. At the same time, two sides research on the possibility of cooperation in developing urban areas and planning in Bac Ninh province; construction architecture of public works and urban projects in Bac Ninh province in a modern, smart and environmentally friendly direction.

Also during the working program in Hungary, the delegation visited and worked with Minusplus Company. Welcoming the delegation was Mr. Zsolt Alexa, CEO of the Company. This is an enterprise specializing in design and architecture with many architectural design projects on public buildings, hotels, offices, restaurants in Hungary and is highly appreciated... The designs and buildings of the company has been awarded regularly from 1999 - 2024.

 

The Vice Chairman hoped that the Company would support and cooperate in design and architecture as well as share experiences to better develop the planning work of Bac Ninh province in the coming time. At the same time, the company would research on the possibility of cooperation in developing urban areas and planning in Bac Ninh province.
