Bac Ninh city and Busanjin district (Korea) sign twinning agreement

Accordingly, Busanjin district and Bac Ninh city signed a twinning agreement to strengthen friendly cooperation in all fields to exchange and promote the local culture of the two localities; support exchange projects between public organizations, private organizations and other sectors that are likely to be consistent with the common interests of both sides as well as support each other in activities to promote friendship and common interests in both the public and private sectors.

Chairman of Bac Ninh City People's Committee Nguyen Manh Hieu affirmed that the signing ceremony is an important milestone in the relationship between the two localities. In the coming time, Bac Ninh city and Busanjin district will have new opportunities in tourism, investment, culture and trade. This not only has a positive impact on the economy but also creates closer connections between the people of the two sides, thereby contributing to promoting friendly relations and enhancing understanding with Korean localities, deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Korea.

Mr. Hieu quickly informed the outstanding results in the city's socio-economic development in recent times. He said that since signing the memorandum of understanding on bilateral cooperation (May 2023), Bac Ninh City and Busanjin District have actively exchanged and had many activities to cultivate and develop good relationships in all fields.

For his part, Busanjin District Chief Kim Young Wook said that Busanjin district exchanges and cooperates with many cities in other countries, but Bac Ninh city is the first city that Busanjin district is twinned with. Through the signing ceremony, the relationship between the two localities will become increasingly deeper and more sustainable. The two sides will continue to cooperate in all fields, especially the fields of public administration, culture, youth... Mr. Kim Young Wook respectfully thanked the sentiments and respectful and cordial welcome of the leaders and people of Bac Ninh city, especially the invitation to attend the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Bac Ninh city.

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hieu and Mr. Kim Young Wook signed an agreement to establish a twinned relationship. The two sides will continue to promote diverse exchanges and cooperation with both public and private organizations based on equality and mutual trust, and cooperate with each other for mutual development and profit promotion.
