Leaders of Provincial People's Committee work with delegation of Asian Development Bank

On October 17, at Kinh Bac Cultural Center, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Xuan Loi chaired and received the delegation of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) led by Mr. Sulton Rahimzoda, Chairman of the State committee on investments and state property management of the Republic of Tajikistan, Alternate Governor of Tajikistan at the Asian Development Bank, who visited and worked in Bac Ninh.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Vice Chairman Le Xuan Loi welcomed the delegation of the ADB to visit and work in Bac Ninh province. At the same time, he gave an overview of the socio-economic situation of the province with many socio-economic indicators ranking among the top in the country, especially in foreign investment attraction. The province has granted investment registration to more than 2,400 valid projects with a total investment capital of USD 29.3 billion, from 41 countries and territories. Solutions focusing on investing in infrastructure of industrial parks along with a synchronous and modern transportation system have created an increasingly complete investment environment for the province and aimed at sustainable development, making Bac Ninh one of the industrial and service centers of the region and the whole country.

With the orientation of developing green economy, circular economy, developing high-value electronics industry, semiconductor industry, the Vice Chairman wished to welcome enterprises of ADB member countries to learn about investment in the province and enhance information exchange activities, investment and trade promotion.

For his part, Mr. Sulton Rahimzoda thanked the leaders of Bac Ninh province for their warm welcome. The delegation visited Vsip Bac Ninh Industrial Park and was impressed with the results of attracting FDI capital as well as the systematic development of infrastructure of the industrial parks, especially the results of building solar energy systems to serve the production of enterprises switching to clean energy. He hoped that the visit and work in Bac Ninh would be a forum for sharing knowledge, experience and strengthening cooperation in the coming time. He believed that the visit would be a good starting point for long-term cooperation. He is also committed to introducing ADB investors interested in learning about investment in Bac Ninh, he added.

The two sides discussed issues related to ADB's support capital. To date, ADB has 12 projects supporting and lending capital in Bac Ninh in the fields of agriculture, transport, and health. ADB wished to strengthen the renewable energy sector, actively contributing to the green growth and renewable energy of Bac Ninh.

The leaders of Bac Ninh province hoped that in the coming time, ADB would continue to pay attention and prioritize capital for the 5 projects that the province has proposed since 2022 so that the projects can be deployed and implemented soon.
