Bac Ninh towards green growth model, green life

Bac Ninh province approved the green growth action plan from 2015; environmental treatment project for the period of 2019-2025. In 2023, the Provincial People's Committee issued an action plan to implement the green growth strategy until 2030, with a vision to 2050. Every year, the province issues a plan to improve the provincial competitiveness index (PCI) and the provincial green index (PGI) to create an investment and business environment towards green growth and sustainable development.
Global Advisory (Australia) was established in 2018 with the mission of supporting clients to achieve net zero emissions and supporting organizations in green transformation.
Executive Vice President of Green Strategy and Green Growth Department of Global Advisory Company (Australia) thanked for the warm welcome and was impressed by the socio-economic growth results of Bac Ninh, especially the strategies in construction, development and green growth. Bac Ninh province has long been known for its successes in the industrial sector and is currently a pioneer in the green growth transition. This is an opportunity to consider how to develop and embrace a greener, more innovative development path in the future.
Mr. Harry Hughes shared experiences of several countries and territories in building and implementing policies for strategic planning of sustainable development and green growth and provided advice on developing human resources for green growth.
The two sides agree to continue to hold working sessions in the coming time to discuss green strategies in more detail.
For his part, Vice Chairman Le Xuan Loi expressed his pleasure to receive and work with Mr. Harry Hughes. He quickly reported on the socio-economic development results of the province in the first 9 months of 2024 and the green growth results in the province. He also clearly stated the orientations for economic development and green consumption of the province in the coming time such as: Actively training leaders at all levels in the field of green transformation; innovating the growth model, reducing the intensity of greenhouse gas emissions through the exploitation and economical and efficient use of energy and resources; planning the construction of industrial parks, subdivisions and detailed planning of urban areas in an ecological direction; synchronously constructing urban technical infrastructure works, applying new technologies, alternative materials, new environmentally friendly products; encouraging the use of energy towards increasing the proportion of renewable energy and new energy; developing sustainable transport, energy and irrigation infrastructure; strengthening waste management and air quality; supporting business human resource training to improve environmental quality, training technical human resources in green economic sectors. He assigned the departments, sectors and units to develop specific plans to promote investment combined with learning and exchanging experiences in building green development models in Australia by 2025.
At the meeting, the two sides agreed to continue to organize more detailed discussions on this content, with the goal of building Bac Ninh into a locality that develops production, services, consumption, green lifestyle and leads the green transition process.
